After the war, Jim becomes an unemployed and anxiously waits to be working at the Los Angeles Police Department as they had promised him. If job is availble, Jim can find psychological balance and his life is more meaningful. So, he can marry his girlfriend who is very faithful - Marta. Then, he can take her to the US to live. But another person is the same boat with Jim, it’s Mike who is his best friend. Meanwhile, Mike’s girlfriend, Sylvia always urges him to find a job to do. Jim has to help Mike find a job but it is also not easy.
